Quality Improvement Cell (QIC)

Quality education for all.

Quality is achieved when the ability of students is nurtured under the ubiquitous shadow of infusing education on par with excellence. The main focus of QIC is to train the students in building-up their ethical and moral values that surpass technical know-how with a tinge of nobility and wit. Suffice it to say that QIC stands as a cynosure of SKUCET with un-linching grandiose to mould students for a better living in the realms of technology-awaken world with a glimse of endurance and sustainability. The Quality Improvement Cell is being formed with the following members.

Objectives of QIC

To promote self-learning among students

  • To improve knowledge of students besides equipping them to learn beyond the syllabus.
  • To use NPTEL videos of IITs as Audio-Visual Aids for effective teaching-learning process available in Communication Skills Lab.
  • To utilize Bridge course CDs of DOTE to develop effective Communication Skills in students
  • To enable students to put well versed in Functional and Technical Skills using the resources of IITs.
  • To enable students and faculty to use their free time effectively to widen their knowledge using the internet facility.
  • To arrange short-term courses for additional learning to suit the needs on par with changing trends envisaged in industries.

Functions of QIC

Some of the functions expected of the IQAC are

  • Development and application of quality benchmarks/parameters for various academic and administrative activities of the institution.
  • Facilitating the creation of a learner-centric environment conducive to quality education and faculty maturation to adopt the required knowledge and technology for participatory teaching and learning processes.
  • Arrangement for feedback response from students, parents and other stakeholders on quality-related institutional processes.
  • Dissemination of information on various quality parameters of higher education.
  • Organization of inter and intra institutional workshops, seminars on quality related themes and promotion of quality circles.
  • Documentation of the various programmes / activities leading to quality improvement.
  • Acting as a nodal agency of the Institution for coordinating quality-related activities, including adoption and dissemination of best practices.
  • Development and maintenance of institutional database through MIS for the purpose of maintaining /enhancing the institutional quality.
  • Development of Quality Culture in the institution.
